Hiya! It’s been a while since an actual written post, soooo…thought I’d type up an update on what’s been going on. If you’ve read my story, then you know that I’ve been diagnosed with Lupus recently and have been experiencing the most intense itch ever for the last couple of months (it has also been the most frustrating part of this whole thing). I don’t want to jinx anything, but I actually am feeling some relief from the itch! Thank goodness! My rheumatologist prescribed a 30 day course of prednisone, which ends on April 5th, because I was still breaking out in hives despite all the other meds I was on. Prednisone (even though I know it’s not the first choice of med for docs) has been the only medication that actually helped relieve the itch. Granted, it only relieved it when I was taking it, BUT, it gave me a break from sleepless nights, ice baths, etc…Now I’m hoping that the other meds that I am on start doing their job. I was told plaquenil and dapsone take a while to work? Honestly, I didn’t think this day would ever come. I was hopeless and thought NOTHING would work.

Anyhoo, point is, I am feeling better AND human again. I have been able to take care of things/people again. I get to spend time with my kiddos and actually help my hubby out! He’s been so awesome throughout this whole thing. Very supportive and understanding. Never once complained, just always made sure or tried to make sure that I was alright. I love that dude! ❤

I also am in the process of slowly tapering off the other medications! Yeeeah!! Hoping that I get from taking 10 pills a day down to 2! Crossing my fingers!!
